At the American College of Surgeons Clinical Congress 2026, registered attendees are invited to take part in a special blood drive in the exhibit hall September 27 – 29.
Hosted in conjunction with Donate 4 Mothers, a women’s health advocacy organization dedicated to increasing awareness of the critical need for blood in pregnancy and delivery complications, this effort highlights a lifesaving truth: blood donation is essential to patient care every day.
Donate blood and extend your commitment to saving lives beyond the operating room.
The blood drive is open only to registered Clinical Congress attendees. Donors should plan for about one hour total, which includes registration, a brief mini-physical — including vitals, an iron check, and review of the eligibility questionnaire — the blood donation itself, and refreshments afterward.
Basic eligibility requirements:
- Must be 17 or older (16 with parent consent)
- Must weigh at least 110 pounds
- Must be feeling well the day of donation
